Don Tapscott is an internationally renowned authority on the strategic value and impact of technology. He consistently identitifes and explains the next business imperatives and defines the business models and strategies that the new imperatives require. He has authored or coauthored eleven books on technology and business. His most recent book , Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything is an international best seller. Don is Chief Executive of New Paradigm and an Adjunct Professor of Management at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.

Dan Fortin
President, IBM Canada Ltd.

As President of IBM Canada Ltd., Dan Fortin is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the IBM organization in Canada.  Dan leads a team of approximately 20,000 professionals in providing industry-leading solutions to help IBM clients address today’s most pressing business challenges.   
Since joining IBM in 1978, Dan has held a number of prominent marketing and management positions, overseeing divisions in Canada, the United States and Latin America. 

Dan is a native of Quebec and is fluent in both English and French.  He graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Carleton University in Ottawa.

Peter Evans

Peter Evans serves as vice president of marketing for IBM Internet Security Systems. With more than eighteen years of telecommunications and enterprise security experience, Evans is responsible for defining and executing the company’s worldwide corporate marketing strategy. Prior to joining IBM Internet Security Systems, Evans served as chief marketing officer and vice president of business development for AirDefense, an Atlanta-based wireless-LAN Intrusion Detection and Prevention company. Before his tenure at AirDefense, Evans served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board for Optovation. Peter Evans is a frequent keynote speaker at leading industry events, such as VON, RSA and the Gartner IT Security Summits, as well as with major business and trade media, and on national broadcast news.

Evans holds bachelor’s degrees in applied mathematics and computer science from Queen's University, Ontario, Canada. He also holds a master’s of business administration from York University in Toronto. .

Neil Stuart

Healthcare Lead

Dr. Neil Stuart is a practice leader in IBM Global Business Services’ healthcare consulting practice. He also has a status-only appointment in the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine. He holds a Ph.D. from Brandeis University where he was a fellow in the University’s Health Policy Centre. Neil's consulting work focuses on healthcare reform, health services restructuring and strategic change in healthcare organizations. He has also been active as a board member of the Alzheimer Society, the Victorian Order of Nurses and now the Toronto East General Hospital.

Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt is a Strategic Initiatives Executive for IBM Canada. He has national responsibility for managing IBM Canada’s activities in the strategic areas of High Performance Computing, Linux, Virtualization and emerging technologies. During his 26 year tenure with IBM, Chris has been involved in numerous areas of information technology provision. Chris has a deep technical and business background in diverse environments. His past has work has included project management and support of organizations in deployment of leading edge technology for business benefit. Most recently, he focused on IT optimization and was a founding member of IBM’s Worldwide Server Consolidation Group where he obtained a patent as a co-author of IBM’s ALIGN Methodology.

Chuck Hamilton
New Media and Learning Leader
IBM’s 3D Internet Division

Charles Hamilton has been with IBM for ten years and currently holds two titles. He is the Director of IBM’s new IBM@PLAY program through the IBM Centre for Advanced Learning, and he is also the Learning and New Media Leader for IBM’s new 3D Internet team. Chuck leads the application of play for IBM internal and external customers, including implementation of Virtual Social Worlds. Chuck speaks at approximately ten conferences a year promoting IBM’s role in the future of learning and technology. He is widely published and he has recently been published in Fast Company, Talent Management Magazine, Meetings and Incentive Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Canadian Business and The Globe & Mail.

Diane Horton
Human Capital Leader
IBM Global Business Services

Diane Horton is the Canadian Human Capital Leader for IBM Global Business Services. She has over 15 years of consulting experience. Diane has implemented ERP systems in a number of clients that include Bombardier, Telus and Pacifica Papers. In 2002, Diane became the HR Director for IBM Global Business Services in Canada. In this role, she was responsible for all aspects of the HR integration between PwC consultants and IBM consultants. This included assisting in defining and implementing new HR support structure for IBM Global Business Services, defining compensation plans, performance management systems, overall management models, and implementing many standard IBM processes to 2000+ employees from PwC. In 2005, Diane became the HCS leader and in this role is responsible for 200+ consultants that specialize in HR services, learning and HR systems implementation.


John Fursey
Strategy & Change Consulting Practice Leader

John Fursey is the Leader  for the  Strategy & Change Consulting Practice  for IBM Global Business Services in Canada.

John is a seasoned advisor to a wide range of businesses in Canada and the United States, in particular within the financial services industry. Over the last 28 years with IBM, and one of its predecessor organizations, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, John has assisted major organizations address strategic issues around their business models, business processes, technology and operations.

John is a frequent speaker in Canada and the United States on financial services industry matters, including the implications of the changing market for retail financial services, anti-money laundering and regulatory and accounting for financial institutions. He has also spoken extensively on improving the effectiveness of the finance function, value-based management, securitization and other financial instruments. In addition, he is the author of several publications on these matters.

John has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business - University of Western Ontario and is also a Chartered Accountant.

Joe Chidley

Joe Chidley is editor of Canadian Business, the country’s best-selling business magazine, which has a readership of almost a million and features award-winning articles on investing, entrepreneurship, management and technology. Before becoming editor in June, 2000, Joe was technology editor and senior writer for the magazine, which he joined in 1998 after nine years as a writer and editor at Maclean’s. Joe, who holds a BA and an MA from the University of Western Ontario, lives in Toronto.

David Stevens
Supply Chain Management Practice Leader,

Mr. Stevens is the Partner responsible for the Canadian Supply Chain Management (“SCM”) practice. He has over fifteen years of experience in business strategy, process improvement, and information technology solutions in the supply chain. The SCM practice in Canada represents over 200 practitioners serving clients across virtually all business sectors and public sector organizations. In his current capacity, he oversees the development of the Canadian SCM service offerings, marketing strategies, partnering decisions, and practices supporting IBM’s commitment to delivery excellence. Mr. Stevens has spent the majority of his consulting career with Price Waterhouse, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, and now IBM Global Business Services. Mr. Stevens holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance and a Master of Arts Degree in Economics. He is a frequent speaker and author on innovative supply chain strategies and the integration of new technologies in supply chain management.
